Teoh Wen Yi

Wen Yi graduated from the Singapore Management University in 2023 and began his career in the dispute resolution department of an international law firm before joining Covenant Chambers. There, he amassed a variety of disputes work ranging from criminal matters to commercial disputes.
Wen Yi believes that laws are made to serve the needs of people and not people to serve the requirements of the law. In this vein, Wen Yi believes that, above all else, lawyers should be able to empathise with their clients’ plight.
Outside of work, Wen Yi actively volunteers and serves in his church.

Assisted in rendering advice to company which owns a chain of bars in their effort to terminate their CEO.
Assisted in drafting and issuing a letter on demand on behalf of a renovation contractor to the homeowners over unpaid fees.
Assisted in acting for the creditor in the winding up of a society in Siti Hasmah binte Adam v Majlis Pusat Singapura [2024] SGHC 156.
Assisted in acting for a client in resisting lifting of the Riddick undertaking in True Yoga Pte Ltd v Wee Ewe Seng Patrick John [2024] SGHC 106.
Assisted in the criminal appeal for PP v Soh Wei Jie [2023] SGMC 98 where the accused had been convicted for voluntarily causing hurt.
