Rebecca has both public and private sector work experience, having begun her legal career in the Civil Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers before moving into a boutique law firm focused on dispute resolution in family and community law. Though familiar with litigation, Rebecca continually seeks new challenges and strives to develop greater advocacy experience in varied areas of law.

Rebecca’s practice areas cover both contentious and non-contentious matters, including civil disputes, family law, criminal law, employment law, and advisory matters.

As a believer in doing small things with great love, Rebecca hopes to go the extra mile in assisting those around her.

Outside legal practice, Rebecca spends much of her time with her family and loved ones. She also enjoys exploring new coffee spots and going on strolls in Singapore’s parks.

Sample Cases

• Assisted in an appeal to the Appellate Division of the High Court in a matrimonial litigation matter, in which the client succeeded on a majority of issues on appeal

• Assisted in advising a prospective shareholder in relation to a shareholders’ agreement and a share purchase agreement

• Assisted in a Hague Convention child abduction case, supporting the client in their application for the return of a child under the International Child Abduction Act 2010

• Appeared before the Courts for more than ten plead guilty mentions, for charges under the Penal Code 1871, Road Traffic Act 1961, Protection from Harassment Act 2014, and COVID-19 Temporary Measures Act 2020

• Appeared before the District Courts as part of a team for trial in relation to, among other charges, a charge of use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty, where the accused was eventually found guilty

• Advised ministries and government agencies on areas of law including intellectual property, confidentiality, and statutory interpretation and compliance

• Drafted and reviewed contractual documents for whole-of-government products and services

• Assisted in High Court matters relating to the admission of advocates and solicitors in Singapore
