Covenant Chambers Welcomes Renowned Legal Practitioner Edwin Sim as Director

Covenant Chambers is pleased to announce the appointment of Edwin Sim as Director, effective October 1st, 2024. With over two and a half decades of experience in dispute resolution, Edwin brings a wealth of expertise to the firm.

He has deep expertise and experience in construction & engineering disputes, having acted for listed companies and other major industry players in multi-million-dollar litigations, arbitrations, and SOPA claims. He is also well-versed in property-related disputes and a trusted advisor to many notable property management companies and MCSTs. He has also handled complex commercial and trust disputes, most recently successfully representing a group of claimants in the High Court and Appellate Division in claims involving express and common intention trust issues with quantum in excess of $20 million.

Edwin's reputation as a skilful advocate is evident in his role as a senior advocacy trainer with the Law Society of Singapore's Advocacy Committee. He has been invited to conduct advocacy training locally and internationally for more than ten years, including as a senior trainer in the Medical Expert Witness Training course and a graduate of the Advanced Trial Advocacy course.

Edwin has also successfully resolved many conflicts through mediation both as counsel and as a mediator. He is an accredited mediator with the Singapore International Mediation Institute and is appointed to the panel of the Law Society Mediation Scheme. He also volunteers as a Community Mediator appointed by the Ministry of Law’s Community Mediation Centre.
