Covenant Chambers is pleased to announce the appointment of Ng Pei Tong as Director, effective 16 January 2025.

Pei Tong joins the firm after leaving Drew & Napier as a Director, Corporate Finance. Pei Tong honed his expertise in corporate finance and corporate and commercial transaction in Singapore and regionally over the past decade in two of the “Big Four” firms and the Singapore formal law alliance partner of a global law firm. He specialises in listings, equity and debt issues, reverse takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity and venture capital investments.

Pei Tong’s practice areas include advising companies listed on the Singapore Exchange in relation to their continuing listing obligations and corporate actions such as dual listings, acquisitions and disposals, share schemes and buybacks, interested person transactions, and corporate restructuring exercises. He also regularly advises on employment, data protection and other regulatory compliance matters.

Pei Tong has been recognised by esteemed legal directories such as the Asia Pacific Legal 500 as a Recommended Lawyer for the last three years, the IFLR 1000’s Guide to the World’s Leading Financial Law Firms as having “(deep) legal and SGC regulatory knowledge”, and by asialaw Profiles 2024 for being “(very) responsive and prompt”.

Prior to joining the legal industry, Pei Tong read Mathematics under a Public Service Commission scholarship and was a gifted education teacher teaching Mathematics in a top girls’ school in Singapore.
